North Carolina Offshore Wind Coalition

Nancy: Recognize the lighthouse, maybe the houses.  But not the Coalition.  Anyone local aware of this? The North Carolina Offshore Wind Coalition was formed in January 2011 and operates as a 501(c)(6) non-profit. We are a coalition of industry members, non-profits, and local leaders working together to help North Carolina capitalize on the benefits that offshore wind energy has to offer. The Coalition is managed by dedicated leadership and gets support from members and volunteers. Our efforts are focused on three primary goals.

  1. Advocate for offshore wind policy that enables development and results in a net economic benefit to the state.
  1. Conduct public education and outreach efforts to improve understanding and build support for the industry and policy.
  1. Advance efforts to promote regional collaboration and regional supply chain solutions.

We believe that regional collaboration is critical to the success of the U.S. offshore wind industry. In addition to the focus on North Carolina, we are actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with our neighboring states to build a robust offshore wind industry that will benefit us all.
